Leeds United schedule press conference as new Willy Gnonto and Everton transfer development emerges
Everton are still hopeful of securing a deal for wantaway star Willy Gnonto as Leeds United schedule a press conference ahead of their Championship clash against West Brom, according to iNews.
The newspaper reported online (15 August) that Daniel Farke is set to appear before the media on Wednesday (16 August) before the fixture on Friday, with many speculating if the German will provide an update on the Italian forwards.
The Toffees, per the Daily Mail (14 August), have submitted multiple offers exceeding £15million and pressure continues to mount at Elland Road after the 19-year-old’s refusal to play in their 1-0 loss to Birmingham City.

Matter of time
Leeds would have entered the new Championship season full of optimising after the disappointing end to their Premier League return. Now, things just seem to be getting worse and worse.
Gnonto is one of many Leeds stars that fans were growing hopeful would remain at the club. But amid interest from Everton and now, according to Rahman Osman (15 August), Tottenham could look to pry the Italy international to North London.

Jack Harrison looked likely to remain at the club until at least January due to his current injury, giving one silver lining to the Whites. However, the winger has been swooped back to the top flight by Sean Dyche’s side, and perhaps Gnonto is next.
Leeds have had a poor start to the season and already face an uphill battle to earn promotion this season. Farke will need to steady an ever-swaying ship, soon.
