Leeds United schedule crunch talks with Tyler Adams amid Aston Villa transfer development – Phil Hay
Leeds United star Tyler Adams is high on Aston Villa’s list of priorities this summer according to The Atheltic.
Phil Hay has reported via The Athletic (23 June) that Unai Emery wants to sign the 24-year-old who was one of Leeds’ best-performing players last season, despite missing the final two months with a hamstring injury.
Adams is aiming to make a return to action by pre-season and the Whites hope that will be with them, with talks scheduled with the US international.

However, this could be tricky following the club’s relegation to the Championship as well as billionaire-owned Villa’s reported interest, with Hay mentioning that other Premier League clubs are also tracking Adams.
Key talks
Keeping hold of Adams would be a fantastic coup by Leeds.
Adams started 24 out of 26 league games last season up until a hamstring injury ruled him out for the final 12 matches and he was one of the club’s standout performers. If he had stayed fit, the season may have perhaps ended differently.
Many high-profile players are expected to leave Elland Road this summer which is understandable considering the club’s relegation, however, fans will hope that Adams is not one of those departures.

For the player though, it would be tricky to turn down a move to Villa Park. Not only can Emery’s side offer Premier League football, something Leeds can of course no longer provide, but they have the added incentive of also being in Europe.
The Villains qualified for the UEFA Conference League to most people’s surprise last season and the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Youri Tielemans and Jacob Ramsey in Europe next year will be difficult to resist.
In other Leeds United news, the club are ready to accept a big for another first-team star.
