Leeds United resolve issue in Rasmus Kristensen exit deal, new talks on Tuesday – Sky Sports
Leeds United have resolved their exit deal for Rasmus Kristensen and are set to send the Danish international out on loan, according to Sky Sports Italy.
Following Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League, the right-back is set to link up with Jose Mourinho at AS Roma on loan, with an option to buy the Dane.
The deal could be completed within the next week for the defender with new talks taking place between the Whites and Roma on Tuesday (27 June).

Too good for the Championship
Relegation from the Premier League is always a tough bullet to bite, especially for a club the size of Leeds. But Kristensen was one of their star players last season, with an impressive three goals and an assist – applaudable from a right-back in a struggling side.
His last boss, Sam Allardyce praised Kristensen’s character following his equaliser against Newcastle towards the end of last season. Allardyce said: “That’s why they’re being clapped off by these fans, because they’ve shown that. That could be one of the biggest goals in this club’s season.”
But a player of Kristensen’s quality would be unlikely to want to spend one of his peak years in England’s second tier, and switch to Serie A to play under one of football’s finest managers would be an offer very difficult to refuse.
Kristensen’s stats prove his quality on the pitch. According to FBRef, the 25-year-old is in the 91st percentile for non-penalty goals compared to other fullbacks with 0.14 showing his attacking threat.
Meanwhile, his aerial dominance would suit Mourinho’s side with 1.56 aerial duels won per 90, placing him in the 86th percentile.
Kristensen will also be looking to have a good season to ensure his call-up to the Danish national side and, should they qualify, play in the European Championships next summer in Germany. Roma gives him a much better platform to do so.
