Leeds United ready to sign off on signing Charles De Ketelaere as journalist shares AC Milan transfer update
Leeds United are ready to sign off on a deal to sign Charles De Ketelaere if AC Milan fail to land the Club Brugge forward, according to Dean Jones.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, the former Eurosport and Bleacher Report journalist claimed that Leeds will swoop in to sign the 21-year-old Belgium international if Milan cannot get a deal over the line.
It is understood that it would cost the Whites around £30million to lure De Ketelaere out of Brugge while the Yorkshire giants are also aware of the personal terms it would take to strike up what could be a club-record deal.

“We still have to assume that Milan get him, they are the firm favourites, but Leeds are ready. If they don’t sign him, then Leeds are ready to get a deal done,” Jones told GiveMeSport.
“We’re talking probably in the region of £30million; Leeds have got that to spend, they know the terms of his contract, they are willing to pay him exactly what he wants. So, this deal’s ready to be signed off. If the Milan deal collapses, I think Leeds will get him.”
And there’s the twist
Leeds can have everything ready.
They can have a bid ready, a contract ready, a plane ready and even a doctor ready to do a medical.
But that’s all pointless if De Ketelaere chooses to sign for Milan and right now, all the signs are pointing towards the Belgian forward heading to the San Siro.
It’s time for Leeds to look elsewhere.

Sure, they can keep this one bubbling away but it’s time for Victor Orta to turn down the gas and stick a lid on it while he ramps up the heat on another deal.
Leeds have done well to get players in early this summer but a new striker is a must.
Last season proved that as Patrick Bamford was hit with injury after injury and that led to an absolute mess up front that saw Daniel James and Rodrigo struggling almost every week.
Leeds also need a new left-back and a new back-up goalkeeper so let’s hope they don’t wait around too long to get those deals done and dusted too.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites can sign this “excellent” left-back for £20million.
