Leeds United ready Josip Juranovic transfer, Elland Road move wanted

Union Berlin defender Josip Juranovic could find himself in the Premier League with Leeds United in the upcoming transfer window.

Daniel Farke’s team won the Championship title this season, and the Whites are set to play top-flight football again after a two-year absence.

The German manager will arguably want 49ers Enterprises to invest heavily at Elland Road and improve the West Yorkshire outfit’s squad.

If the Peacocks want to compete in the Premier League, they’ll undoubtedly need a stronger squad, and Juranovic may be part of those plans.

It’s been claimed that Farke’s team wouldn’t have issues convincing the Croatia international to move to Elland Road to play Premier League football.

The Peacocks will be confident they can fend off competition from West Ham United, Fulham and Burnley to sign the versatile defender who can also play left-back.

Paraag Marathe must live up to billing at Elland Road

Paraag Marathe has overseen Elland Road featuring in the top flight once again, but the challenges will only get bigger here on out.

The 49ers took over from Andrea Radrizzani in 2023, right after the Whites were relegated from the Premier League.

While the Americans have been around the West Yorkshire outfit for a while, they now have control of the team’s prospects.

Leeds fans will want to see Marathe establish the Peacocks as a regular in the top flight in the coming years.

The Elland Road faithful wouldn’t want to see the Whites relegated immediately and be stuck in the Championship again.

Farke will be under much pressure from the get-go next season as he’s previously failed to survive the drop with Norwich City.

The 49ers may not be willing to give the German manager much time and sack him quickly if things don’t go to plan at the start of the upcoming campaign.

A lot will also depend on how much Marathe is willing to invest in the upcoming transfer window, with quality players needed for the 48-year-old head coach to have the best chance of succeeding.
