Leeds United ready Igor Paixao transfer as Sky Sports shares new source reveal
Leeds United are eyeing a quality left winger to add to their ranks after losing Manor Solomon.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with the Peacocks and was instrumental in them securing the Championship title.
However, he has since returned to Tottenham, and it does not look as though a return to Elland Road is likely.
Now, Leeds are ramping up their pursuit of Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao after a significant update from Sky Sports.

Leeds United make inroads with Paixao signing
Leeds were quoted £33.8million for Paixao, earlier in the transfer window, with Brighton also keen.
Paixao is reportedly open to a move to Elland Road, should a suitable offer arrive for the Brazilian’s services.
The 25-year-old has spent the last three years at the Eredivisie side, notching 68 goal contributions.
Last season, the winger was a standout performer for Feyenoord and made an impressive 30 goal contributions in the league alone.
Igor Paixao’s 2024/25 Eredivisie statistics | Total |
Appearances | 34 |
Goals | 16 |
Expected goals (xG) | 10.56 |
Assists | 14 |
Goal conversion | 17% |
Big chances created | 12 |
Now, Leeds are in talks over the signing of the 25-year-old, according to Sky Sports (17 July).
While there has been no official offer for the Brazilian at this stage, a source has told Sky Sports that there has been club-to-club contact.
Feyenoord have said that Paixao could miss the start of the season through injury, but he is one of a number of options the Whites are looking at.
Of course, there is the matter of the transfer fee, which could be a stumbling block if Feyenoord do not lower their demands.

Leeds must do all they can to land Paixao
Like all the promoted clubs have experienced this window, Leeds have lost one of their star performers from last season in Solomon.
However, it is about how you replace your key players, and Paixao looks like he would be able to do that in spades.
The Brazilian’s statistics from the left wing are astonishing, and if he can get anywhere near that in the Premier League, then he would be some signing.
Of course, there are some factors to consider: Can he translate his threat to the Premier League? How long will he be out for? And, how much would Leeds have to pay?
The fee previously reported is high, but seems fairly reasonable given Paixao’s age and goal return in the Netherlands.
All in all, the 25-year-old looks like the ideal candidate to boost the Peacocks’ chances of survival.
