Leeds United ready controversial Gabriel Sara transfer after Premier League promotion

Daniel Farke is set for a busy summer as he looks to prepare Leeds United for life in the Premier League.

Leeds had an excellent season, and despite Burnley putting up a strong fight, it was Farke’s men who came out as champions in the final minutes.

The key now, though, is to build on the solid squad that has been formed over this season, in the hope of survival in the top flight next term.

Leeds United look at controversial Gabriel Sara move

The 49ers have been supportive of Farke so far, giving him the backing required to create a league-winning squad in the Championship.

One man on Farke’s list of targets is Gabriel Sara, who is not a new option.

Having previously been with Norwich City, the midfielder was linked with a move to Elland Road last summer, though a deal did not materialise.

Nevertheless, Farke has returned to this option with Leeds United News reporting that he is on the radar of the Whites once more, with Leeds having looked at him.

However, his move from Carrow Road saw him end up at Galatasaray, which makes any possible deal controversial, and it wouldn’t come cheap.

Sara could be a good addition at Leeds

Naturally, given the club he is at, this potential transfer does come with some issues for Leeds.

However, looking at Sara as a player, this is one that could be a good fit for the West Yorkshire outfit in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has previously shown his ability to score goals, having registered 27 goal contributions for the Canaries in the 2023-24 season.

Sara has been solid this season.

However, he has now taken a deeper role in Turkey, where he has also done well while still adding to his goal tally at times, too.

Manchester City are reportedly interested in the Brazilian as well, which certainly highlights the talent of the player and if Leeds could get his signature, he would surely be a good addition to the squad.

It’s time for the 49ers to open the chequebook.
