Leeds United ready £8m+ bid to sign Alex Nubel as Bayern Munich transfer poker worsens
Leeds United are prepared to offer £8million for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel, according to Bild.
The German publication reported online (19 July) that Leeds are prepared to make the offer amid interest in the 26-year-old from VFB Stuttgart.
Stuttgart saw an offer of just over £400,000 for a one-year loan rejected by Bayern Munich and have now made a second loan offer, worth closer to £900,000 with bonus payments included.

The German champions have not yet rejected or accepted the offer, with a decision expected in the coming days and the transfer saga has been described as “poker” which gets worse and worse by Bild.
Uncertainty
With Stuttgart’s offer currently under consideration, Bayern Munich might perhaps be delaying their decision to see if Leeds make an offer.
If that is the case then Leeds will need to submit an offer sooner rather than later as the Bundesliga giants won’t want to wait forever to make a decision over Nubel, who could be tempted by the prospect of working with fellow German Daniel Farke.

The former Schalke goalkeeper has been with AS Monaco for the past two seasons, making 94 appearances during his loan spell in France.
And Bayern Munich might now want a permanent move for their shot-stopper. An offer of £8million would be very fair considering Nubel is clearly not in the club’s immediate plans and this might be preferred over another loan switch.
Nubel could prove to be very useful in Farke’s side’s push for promotion, although if they wait around too long they might miss their opportunity to sign the 6’4 German and need to look elsewhere.
In other Leeds United news, no issues are expected during a potential arrival’s medical.
