Leeds United prepare to offer double after Natan transfer development
Leeds United could potentially make an offer to sign Real Betis centre-back Natan in the winter transfer window after making enquiries.
The Whites recently reinforced their backline with Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw, but it looks like they are looking to add more depth in the position.
Natan was on Daniel Farke’s radar in the summer, but a deal didn’t end up materialising for the defender at the West Yorkshire outfit.
Bornauw may look to leave Elland Road in the coming weeks due to a lack of game time, and the Peacocks could potentially be preparing for that eventuality.

Real Betis could receive £17m+ from Leeds United for Natan
Real Betis may have to decide on Natan’s sale if Leeds offer more than £17million for him, according to Tuttomercato.
The news outlet reports on 5 December that it isn’t guaranteed that the LaLiga outfit won’t receive an offer worth at least double what they paid for the Brazilian centre-back in January.
In the summer of 2024, the 24-year-old joined the Spanish club on loan from Napoli, and they subsequently triggered the around £8.7m option to buy him.
Natan’s medical at Elland Road shouldn’t be an issue, considering he’s rarely been out injured, but it remains to be seen whether the Whites will take concrete steps to acquire his signature soon.
Farke has seen questions surrounding his future at the West Yorkshire outfit, but it would be surprising to see him sacked anytime soon after the 3-1 win against Chelsea in the Premier League on 3 December.
The German manager will surely hope to remain in charge during the winter transfer window, and it will be interesting to see which area he feels needs improving.
Natan transfer could be priority after what Daniel Farke has done at Elland Road
Farke’s change in system against Chelsea worked wonders, with the 5-3-2 formation leading to success.
Leeds fans will now hope the former Norwich City boss continues to stick with the same system, but injuries could derail that plan at Elland Road.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha’s potential absences after picking up injuries have already raised concerns about whether playing the same way against Liverpool on 6 December is feasible.
Natan may be an essential addition to add depth to the Whites’ squad, with Bornauw certainly not a reliable option due to his fitness concerns.
