Leeds United player has ‘already scheduled flights’ as transfer exit edges closer
Leeds United are working hard on giving Daniel Farke a competitive squad to survive Premier League relegation.
Noah Okafor became the ninth signing at Leeds after completing a move for a little over £17.3million from AC Milan.
Mateo Joseph was the last player to leave the Whites this summer, but there may yet be more activity before the end of August, with the likes of Patrick Bamford not in Farke’s plans.
A balanced squad will undoubtedly be key to avoiding a return to the Championship, and the West Yorkshire outfit could potentially make a new exit announcement soon.

SV Werder Bremen confident of Isaac Schmidt deal with Leeds United
SV Werder Bremen are waiting for Leeds’ green light to sign Isaac Schmidt, according to DeichStube.
The news outlet reported on 21 August that the Bundesliga outfit have reached an agreement for the 25-year-old’s arrival from Elland Road, with a buy option expected to be included in a loan deal.
It’s been claimed that the German outfit had “already scheduled flights” for the Switzerland international’s medical, but the West Yorkshire outfit thwarted those plans as they look for a replacement.
There’s hope a move will eventually materialise as Schmidt looks to end his underwhelming tenure in LS11 after playing just 71 minutes in the Championship last season.

James Hill to replace Isaac Schmidt at Elland Road
Bournemouth defender James Hill is a Leeds target, and the Englishman could potentially replace Schmidt in LS11.
The 23-year-old moved to Bournemouth in 2022 from Fleetwood Town but has failed to break into the Cherries’ starting lineup over the years.
With the versatile centre-back capable of playing on the right side of the defence, he may open the doors for the Switzerland international’s exit from the West Yorkshire outfit.
- Schmidt moved to Elland Road for £2.5million from St Gallen in August 2024.
- The defender has a contract until 2028 in LS11.
- The right-back’s only two starts for the Whites came in the FA Cup last season.
Leeds have also been linked with James Justin, but the Leicester City right-back picked up an injury recently and it remains to be seen how serious his knock is.
The 27-year-old is capable of playing across the backline and boasts undeniable Premier League experience, which will definitely come in handy in LS11 this season.
However, Hill’s age and natural instincts as a central defender may make him a more valuable squad option for the Whites, with Jayden Bogle cementing his place at right-back.
