Leeds United permanent exit to be confirmed this week in another £3.8m deal
Leeds United are set to seal another £3.8m defender exit this week with Diego Llorente expected to join Real Betis, according to Info Real Betis.
Writing on their website (30 June), the news outlet report that the Spaniard won’t be re-joining Roma after they opted against triggering their buy-option from his loan deal, leaving Betis with a free run to sign him.
And a deal is expected to be officially completed this week, with the Spaniard joining Charlie Cresswell in leaving Elland Road in a deal worth £3.8million [Leeds-Live, 30 June].
Leeds United to complete another Elland Road exit
The summer transfer window has really come to life in recent days for Leeds, but not in a positive way with several players on the verge of leaving.
Jack Harrison and Marc Roca’s exits have been officially confirmed with both players re-joining the clubs they were on loan at last season, although Roca’s was permanent, while a deal for Archie Gray is on the verge of completion [The Mirror, 30 June] to Tottenham too after a move to Brentford collapsed.
The Whites are expected to have already complied with PSR regulations after investment from Red Bull plus the sales made [YEP, 17 June], but Llorente has absolutely no future at the club regardless of that.

It’s clear the 30-year-old doesn’t want to play at Elland Road next season and he “certainly” won’t play in the Championship, while Daniel Farke has no interest in making him part of the squad.
A sale makes sense for all involved and while the fee is arguably on the low side, it’s a number the club would have been expecting and a deal now seems inevitable.
