Leeds United now want to sign Amad Diallo from Manchester United with Old Trafford loan exit on the cards
Leeds United are among the clubs chasing a loan deal for Manchester United ace Amad Diallo, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 21-year-old winger has been injured for the past four months and the Red Devils are weighing up whether to send him out on loan for the second half of the campaign.
The Mirror reported in their print edition on Thursday (18 January) that Sunderland, where Diallo spent last season on loan and was labelled ‘unbelievable’ by former boss Tony Mowbray (Sports Illustrated, 9 December 2022), remain interested in taking him back to the Stadium of Light.

Leeds are also noted to have an interest alongside Middlesbrough and Southampton.
Interesting…
To say there is no love lost between Leeds and Manchester United is about as big of an understatement as you could find, the two clubs simply despise each other and have a bitter rivalry.
However, the two clubs have done business in the past – remember Alan Smith anyone? – so it is not beyond the realms of possibility that there could be a loan deal to be struck here between the two clubs.

What might count against Leeds is the wealth of options they already have in wide positions, with Crysencio Summerville, Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony all among the ranks in a well-stocked area of the squad.
You can never have enough quality players, of course, but if the Red Devils do decide to let Diallo go out on loan then you feel it will be to a club where he will have more chance of guaranteed minutes. Let’s see how this one plays out.
In other Leeds United news, the whites reportedly want to sign a player with the same agent as Summerville.
