Leeds United news: Fabrizio Romano shares Luis Sinisterra-Bournemouth update

Documents are being prepared as Leeds United and Bournemouth have agreed on a deal for Luis Sinisterra, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer guru took to Twitter on 8 February to claim that the Cherries have activated the clause to make things permanent.

They will pay the Whites 20million for the Colombia international who will not be returning to Elland Road.

Via Twitter, Romano wrote: “Bournemouth have activated clause to make Luis Sinisterra deal permanent from Leeds United. Documents being prepared, it will be signed and announced this week. AFCB will pay £20m fee, as @markmcadamtv called.”

Good deal for Leeds United?

Sinisterra seemed to have burned all bridges when he parted ways with Leeds in the summer after relegation.

Initially, the expectation was that he will stay put at Elland Road but made a u-turn and joined Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Had the Cherries faced relegation woes, there would have been a chance that this deal would not be happening as it is right now.

However, they seem established in the top flight under Andoni Iraola and Sinisterra will now not be returning to Leeds again.

There was talk over a bidding war for Sinisterra as AC Milan were also linked with a move for the wide attacker.

Hopefully, this money is well spent and that Leeds are a Premier League club when they use it, strengthening their first team well.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could have moved fast to sign a West Ham defender with just a few negotiation points left to iron out.
