Leeds United news: £8.4m attacker transfer on the cards

Leeds United have already begun planning for the summer transfer window as they aim to be a Premier League side next season.

It’s understood that a new winger is understood to be a priority for Daniel Farke’s side.

Despite having Dan James, Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani on the books, who can play that role, reinforcements are still being eyed.

Herba Guirassy transfer eyed by Leeds United

Nantes winner Herba Guirassy is on Leeds’ radar in the summer along with SPFL giants Celtic, according to Le Republicain Sportif.

It’s understood that the Ligue 1 outfit may be willing to cash in on his services for an £8.4million fee.

As he’s got a contract until 2028 at the French club, they will need to be compensated handsomely for them to sell him.

The Whites will have to tempt him to move to Elland Road over Celtic Park who will be able to offer him the chance to play in the Champions League and also challenge for trophies.

However, the exposure he will get in the Premier League cannot be compared to the SPFL.

Manor Solomon must still be a priority for Daniel Farke

Leeds must prioritise securing Manor Solomon on a permanent deal this summer over Guirassy because his talent and versatility could be transformative for their Premier League aspirations.

The 25-year-old Israeli winger, currently on loan from Tottenham, brings pace, flair and goal-scoring threat – attributes the Whites need to bolster their attack after a patchy Championship campaign.

The race for Premier League promotion

His ability to play across the front line offers Daniel Farke tactical flexibility, while his Premier League experience ensures he can handle the step-up if promotion is achieved.

Solomon’s injury-hit stint at Spurs has kept his transfer fee manageable, making him a realistic target, but his potential to shine in a starring role at Elland Road could attract rival suitors.

With his contract at Tottenham running until 2028, Leeds must act decisively, leveraging his loan spell to convince him that West Yorkshire is where he can reignite his career and become a fan favourite.
