Leeds United: Marc Roca exit talks to commence as Real Betis twist emerges

Real Betis want to sign Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca in the summer and negotiations will commence, according to Mucho Deporte.

The Spanish media outlet reported on 10 April that his health has been an issue since the turn of the year with him not at a hundred per cent post pneumonia.

However, the Whites are understood to be open to allowing him to leave, despite his contract running out in 2026.

Leeds United must look to cash in on Roca

Roca joined Leeds from Bayern Munich in 2022 but struggled to make a significant impact during his time at the club.

The Spaniard did well at Betis but since January, Roca has been hampered by health issues, including pneumonia, which have significantly reduced his playing time and effectiveness.

Given his successful loan spell at Betis and the Spanish club’s interest in retaining him, a deal could potentially be struck that would benefit all parties involved as Leeds are unlikely to want to keep him.

However, Roca’s recent health issues may impact the negotiations, as Betis might look to secure him for a lower fee than initially anticipated.

Leeds’ willingness to sell Roca is likely driven by their desire to recoup some of the fee they paid for him and to free up resources to strengthen their squad as they aim to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of the negotiations now are as Farke will want a decent fee which he can reinvest into the squad.
