Leeds United make Rodrigo Muniz approach as sources share transfer latest

Leeds United are pushing hard to bolster their squad for a return to the Premier League by raiding those around them next season.

Daniel Farke has made it no secret that his squad needs bolstering, with the spine requiring real surgery at Elland Road, with several new transfers.

Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is the latest name doing the rounds in LS11, with an approach now made.

Leeds ready Muniz transfer at Elland Road

Beren Cross has reported for The Athletic that the Whites have made a push to get the ball rolling to sign Muniz from the Cottagers.

It is said that Leeds sources acknowledge the interest, but other strikers on the shortlist are more likely to be signed at this stage of the window.

Muniz has one year left on his Fulham contract, but that does include an option for another 12 months.

Leeds United ready new transfers

It has been made no secret that it will be a hectic summer at Elland Road.

With significant stadium expansion work to begin soon and several new transfers wanted, the 49ers Enterprises may as well keep the chequebook open for the next couple of months.

With PSR troubles also being highlighted in the Premier League, it is clear that there may need to be some risk attached to any level of spending.

Muniz would be a sensational addition, and after battling for his spot and frequently losing it to Raul Jimenez at Craven Cottage, he may want a move away.

The Brazilian only started eight of his 31 appearances this season in the Premier League, which highlights the preference of Marco Silva.

Despite that, Muniz still managed to score eight times, with three strikes from four in the FA Cup too, in what was a successful year in the final third.

It appears Leeds are not close to any new transfers just yet, but with the break for the Club World Cup coming up already, all eyes will be on the end of the month and beyond at Elland Road.
