Leeds United make Jayden Bogle bids in new transfer developments

Leeds United have had two offers turned down in their push to sign Sheffield United star Jayden Bogle, according to The Star.

The report (16 July) indicates that while Leeds are eager to bring the right-back over to Elland Road, they are still some way short of the valuation put on the 23-year-old by the Blades.

Bogle is currently in the final year of his contract with Sheffield United with Leeds moving quickly after it was reported as recently as 16 July that no formal bids had been launched (Leeds Live, 16 July).

Would Jayden Bogle be happier at Leeds?

It’s always difficult when you’re coming off the back of a relegation.

Sheffield United, for the second time in a matter of five years, put forward a pretty poor effort in the Premier League last season, finishing bottom of the table with just 16 points and 104 goals conceded.

It’s hard to stand out in that kind of environment, and it’s even harder to stay motivated. Still, even after such a notable disappointment, Bogle is said to be settled and happy in Sheffield.

The big question is whether or not that changes based on the offers that come in for him.

Sheffield United had the momentum of being a top-flight side last season, but the quality of their squad leaves a lot to be desired. On the flip side, Leeds came as close as you can to promotion without actually achieving it – and they’re looking to move quickly in the transfer window.

Some will see it as a risky move, but it’s one that Bogle’s representatives will have to take seriously.
