Leeds United make Georgios Vagiannidis approach, bid ready to seal transfer
Leeds United are back in the Premier League and are already looking to strengthen their squad ahead of a tough season.
Daniel Farke may yet lose his job despite securing the Championship title with 100 points, but if he is replaced, his successor will still need more quality at his disposal.
Leeds are already targeting Greece international Georgios Vagiannidis, and they could be close to their first signing with the 23-year-old, who has attracted interest from several clubs.

Leeds ready to bid for Vagiannidis
Panathinaikos right-back Vagiannidis has been targeted by Leeds as a squad option to help them stay up in the Premier League.
The full-back has been scouted by several clubs, including Everton, Ajax and Fulham, among others.

It has now been reported by Greek outlet Sportdog (May 7) that Leeds are ready to bid up to £8.5m to secure Vagiannidis’ signature ahead of Everton.
The defender has made 103 appearances for the Greek giants and even captained them in their Europa Conference League defeat to Fiorentina in the round of 16 in March.

Leeds seeking out Jayden Bogle cover
Jayden Bogle has been one of Leeds’ most important players this season, and started in 44 of the 46 Championship games in the campaign.
Sam Byram started in the two games Bogle missed, but Leeds clearly believe they need quality cover in the position, given the rigour of the Premier League.
Vagiannidis could provide experienced competition for Bogle, and could even play ahead of him as an advanced winger if necessary.
Having multiple options in crucial positions will be important for Leeds, as relying on Byram for cover for someone as important as Bogle would be a huge risk.
The Greek international has impressed for his club, and may also be seen as a long-term option given that he is just 23, and Leeds will hope to beat the competition to secure his signature to kick off an important summer transfer window.
