Leeds United make Dor Turgeman approach with striker transfer ready
Leeds United have “officially approached” Maccabi Tel Aviv to sign striker Dor Turgeman in January, according to Sport5.
The Israeli news outlet (4 December) reports that Tel Aviv will require a fee of more than £4.1million to sanction a sale for Turgeman.
It is understood that Tel Aviv have no intention of selling their striker before the end of the season but could be tempted into an early sale should a satisfactory offer be made.
Dor Turgeman links spells good news for Leeds United
The Whites have had an impressive campaign so far despite being knocked off the summit of the Championship with a defeat to Blackburn.
Perhaps the one concern across the Leeds squad has been their lack of a goalscorer to occupy the number nine position consistently and effectively.
Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph have been the two preferred options for Daniel Farke but neither have met the standards required for a striker in a promotion-chasing team.
In fact, it was a position highlighted by Darren Bent as the main concern at Elland Road.

Turgeman has an eye for a goal and would provide that knowledge of how to play the role of a number nine.
Whether Leeds are able to do a deal is yet to be seen, although the link suggests that they are being proactive in their search to strengthen their attacking lineup.
