Leeds make approach to PL club willing to loan out two attackers in January - report

Leeds United have approached Liverpool about striking potential loan deals in the January transfer window, according to Goal.

The news outlet claims that the European champions are ready to send Rhian Brewster and Curtis Jones out on loan next month in a bid to further their development with increased first-team opportunities.

It is understood that Leeds and Swansea have been in touch with Liverpool, who are set to hold meetings with interested parties this weekend.

Jones, 18, is a versatile attacking midfielder who has mainly played on the left-wing for Liverpool’s Under-23s this season. He can also play as a central midfielder or even centre-forward.

The Merseyside-born teenager has made four senior appearances for Liverpool and assisted one goal in his side’s Carabao Cup win against Arsenal this term.

Brewster, 19, is perhaps more widely known among Liverpool fans but the England Under-21 international has just two first-team appearances to his name for the Reds.

Leeds could find themselves in need of a new winger and striker in the January window with Arsenal and Tottenham both reportedly planning to recall Eddie Nketiah and Jack Clarke from their respective loan spells.

The Whites could be eyeing up Jones and Brewster as direct replacements for those two youngsters, so this is definitely a space that fans need to watch as we near the start of 2020.
