Leeds United loanee Ian Poveda reacts as Bournemouth confirm Luis Sinisterra signing
Leeds United loanee Ian Poveda has reacted to Luis Sinisterra’s transfer to Premier League outfit Bournemouth.
The latter, who was already on loan at the Cherries, has now signed on a permanent deal [official Bournemouth website, 9 February], in a deal worth £20million.
Sinisterra has made 17 appearances for Bournemouth since moving in the summer, scoring three goals and registering three assists.
Bournemouth shared an image of the winger holding his Cherries shirt on Instagram, writing: “We’re delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Luis Sinisterra,” with his Colombia teammate Poveda reacting to the news.
Leeds United exit confirmed
Leeds lost a long, long list of players in the summer transfer window, both temporarily and permanently, with those exits largely down to the club being relegated from the Premier League.
There were several players who simply didn’t want to be competing in the Championship, and despite perhaps looking likely of staying at one point, Sinisterra then left for Bournemouth.
And he has certainly impressed on the south coast, with the Premier League club clearly liking what they are seeing with the Colombia international.
Cherries boss Andoni Iraola has done a fine job since taking over in the dugout, with Sinisterra one of his key players in recent times.

Like Sinisterra, Poveda has also been playing away from Elland Road this season, with the winger having joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan in the January transfer window.
Given those exits, Whites manager Daniel Farke is evidently happy with his current attacking options in West Yorkshire.
In other Leeds United news, OIi McBurnie reacted after the Whites agreed terms for a last-ditch signing last month, with Pavel Nedved named.
