Leeds United loan clauses emerge after Championship playoff final failure
Leeds United have got several players with clauses in their contract that will allow them to leave on loan again this summer, according to Leeds All Over.
Writing on their website (27 May), the news outlet report that Marc Roca will now be allowed to join Real Betis on a season-long loan once again after the club’s failure to earn promotion to the Premier League.
But the Spanish midfielder is not the only one with a similar clause, and players will be able to leave Elland Road again in similar deals for a loan with no fee so long as 100% of the wages are covered.
While the identity of the players with the clauses have not been shared, it’s believed that Brendan Aaronson and Max Wober do not have those clauses and will return to the club unless new deals are struck.
Stupid Leeds United clauses rear their ugly heads again
It’s been a long time since Victor Orta or Andrea Radrizzani had any say in anything that was happening at Elland Road, and yet their stupid decisions are still affecting the club.
For some reason these ridiculous clauses were inserted into the contracts of new signings and have left the club with zero negotiating power years later as a result.
In a summer where the club are likely to need to cut costs after missing out on promotion to the Premier League, earning cash from players who weren’t at the club last year would have been an ideal solution.

But now it seems as though several players will be allowed to move on again without bringing any money into the club and that could have a negative effect on transfer plans.
In an ideal world some of the players may move on permanently elsewhere anywhere, but it’s now not in Leeds’ hands and that’s exactly what Daniel Farke didn’t want.
