Leeds-linked striker informs agent he wants to move to Championship club – report
Leeds United-linked striker Yohan Boli has told his representatives that he wants to move to the English Championship, despite his club Sint-Truiden accepting a £2.5m bid from Qatar club Al-Rayyan Sports Club.
That’s the news from Football Insider who dubbed it a ‘major development’.
Boli, who is out of contract in the summer, could be set for a January move and it’s not just Leeds who are interested in the Ivory Coast international.
West Brom and Brentford are also interested in landing the striker in the January window and if Boli gets his way he could well end up playing a big part in who gets promoted to the Premier League this season.
Leeds have already engaged in talks with the player’s agents and Boli is in good form this season, with 10 goals in 17 games in the Belgian top-flight.
Brighton were also said to have been looking at Boli in December but nothing has come of that move and it looks like the striker is now looking at clubs that could get him into the Premier League through the backdoor.

Che Adams remains the club’s number one choice but he might have to ask for a move if he wants to leave Southampton this month.
Boli is one of a number of alternatives that Victor Orta is working on if the Adams deal doesn’t come off.
Billy Sharp was said to be another, although it has now been reported that he has told manager Chris Wilder that he wants to stay until at least the summer.
