Leeds United have been admirers of Martin Baturina over the last few transfer windows.

The Whites' business last summer was impressive, as showcased by their ability to stay in the Premier League with ease, but this summer will pose an even bigger challenge.

Leeds face the task of improving the level of quality in their starting 11, while also ensuring that they have adequate depth across all areas of the pitch.

Adding more creativity and goals will be one of the main priorities for Daniel Farke's side, given the struggles that they often faced last time out.

And having been linked with a move for Baturina in the past, it now seems clear what their chances of landing the Croatian really are.

Como's stance on Martin Baturina revealed

Baturina would be a sublime addition for Leeds given the numbers he has put up in the Serie A, with nine goal involvements in 17 starts.

However, recent reports certainly suggest that he will be out of their price range for the upcoming transfer window.

A report from Gianluca Di Marzio states that the Italian outfit has received offers in the region of £45million for the playmaker from the Premier League, which would already be a record sale for Como.

The team's to have submitted those offers have not been named, though it seems highly unlikely to be Leeds.

Leeds United ready to raise ceiling with headline new transfers as sources speak out

Como are said to be holding firm on his future, meaning any potential exit could cost a club upwards of £50m, which is likely to be out of Leeds' reach.

Do Leeds need a new number 10 this summer?

Anton Stach has so often been the creative outlet for Leeds centrally, as showcased by the fact that he created 63 chances last time out.

However, he was certainly on his own in that regard, which immediately points to the requirement of more creativity in the middle.

A player like Baturina would provide that in abundance, and while a deal for him may be off the cards, a deal for a player of a similar ilk may be a priority in the coming months.
