Leeds United may be best placed to sign Jesurun Rak-Sakyi if Crystal Palace sanction his loan exit this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The outlet reported on its website on Saturday (20 July) that the Whites have approached the Eagles to try and understand the terms of a potential temporary deal for the winger.

Palace are understood to be open to sending the 21-year-old out on loan this season and could be willing to sanction such a deal on the condition that they complete the signing of Marseille winger Ismaila Sarr.

Clubs in the Premier League including Southampton hold an interest in Rak-Sakyi, but the Saints only want a permanent transfer which could put the Whites in pole position to secure a loan switch.

Are Leeds United close to any new signings in the summer transfer window?

With Jayden Bogle's move to Elland Road closer than ever before, Daniel Farke and his recruitment team can turn their attention to adding to the attacking ranks at Leeds United for the remainder of the summer.

The Whites are currently well stocked out wide with the likes of Wilfried Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville and Dan James all competing for a starting place, but there is an expectation at least one of those players will depart.

Although Rak-Sakyi has yet to play in the Championship having spent a loan spell in League One with Charlton, he is incredibly highly thought of at Selhurst Park and expected to be an incredibly special player in the future.

If the Whites did manage to secure his services on loan for the season, he could step into a similar role to that of Jaidon Anthony last term.

He may not start each and every week, but he will have an important role to play in games as a substitute.

With a long Championship campaign ahead of Farke's side again this term, they are going to need strength in depth and the 21-year-old would offer exactly that. If Palace sanctions his exit, this is a gamble worth taking.
