Leeds United: Kalvin Phillips to hold Andrea Radrizzani crunch talks as fresh exit news emerges
Kalvin Phillips is not in talks over a move to Manchester City but he is set for a meeting with Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizani, according to freelance journalist Jonathan Shrager.
The Times reported on Monday (23 May) that Man City are considering a bid for the 25-year-old England international after making him their top midfield target for the summer transfer window.
However, it is understood that Phillips wants to stay at Elland Road and is due to hold crunch talks with Radrizzani, where he’ll discuss his contract situation as well as his future at Leeds.

“Amid reports of [Man City’s] interest in Phillips, I am told there are currently no talks with Kalvin’s representation about a move,” said Schrager via his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night (24 May).
“His desire has always been to stay at [Leeds United], enhanced by their EPL status.
“Meeting awaits with Mr Radrizzani to discuss his future, and possible extension.”
Going nowhere
If Leeds were relegated on the final day of the Premier League season at the weekend, then we’d put our hands up and admit that it’s likely Phillips will move on.
However, the Whites are no longer going to be forced into selling the midfield star as not only can they demand a massive fee for him but they can also tempt him with a new contract.
And if Phillips does pen a new deal, we can wave goodbye to all of this speculation and the likes of Man City will have to look elsewhere.
We cannot blame City for wanting to sign Phillips.
He’s one of the best holding midfielders in the world, at the end of the day, and they need to sign a replacement for Fernandinho.
Phillips wasn’t at his best in the final weeks of the Premier League season as he’d spent a lot of time out with an injured hamstring.
But once he’s fully up to speed, the Leeds and England maestro will be a top buy for any club.
Luckily, the only club he seems to want to play for now is Leeds United.
Surviving the drop on the last day of the season was absolutely massive in so many ways.
Raphinha might go – but Phillips won’t.
In other Leeds United news, terms are agreed for one of Phillips’ teammates to leave Elland Road as he waits for a decision this Thursday.
