Leeds United are in talks with six potential new signings ahead of the 30 August transfer deadline, according to Graeme Bailey.

The journalist reported on 28 August that the Whites have maintained an interest in bringing Ao Tanaka and Roland Sallai to Elland Road.

These are two of "half a dozen players" that Daniel Farke is in talks with ahead of a potentially busy final few days of the summer transfer window.

Leeds United maintain Ao Tanaka and Roland Sallai interest

There have been plenty of departures from Leeds over the course of the summer which has left Farke's squad light in certain areas.

It had looked to be a quiet transfer window but it now appears to be hotting up with very limited time remaining for business to be completed.

Key players like Archie Gray and Glen Kamara were lost early on in the window and were somewhat replaced by Jayden Bogle and Joe Rothwell respectively.

Alternative options to other mainstays under Farke like Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter haven't truly been found but that will be a difficult task.

Bringing in Tanaka and Sallai could be a positive step towards replacing the outbound stars with some quality options for the Championship.

With six options currently being assessed, it does appear that there will be plenty of business conducted at Elland Road before the 30 August deadline.

Supporters will have to wait and see who comes through the doors as the squad is named for the foreseeable.
