Leeds United in talks with Ligue 1 club as Glen Kamara agrees Elland Road exit
Rennes are now looking to strike an agreement with Leeds United for Glen Kamara with personal terms already in place, according to Ouest-France.
The French publication revealed on Friday (5 July) that Kamara is in position to complete the move to the Ligue 1 club, bringing to an end a year-long spell at Elland Road.
It was confirmed on Thursday (4 July) that the Finnish midfielder had settled on personal terms with Rennes [Corriere dello Sport, 4 July], following the imminent departure of Enzo Le Fee to Roma.
The two clubs will now negotiate a transfer fee for the ex-Arsenal and Rangers man to complete the move.
Glen Kamara could leave Leeds United after one season
Kamara was a regular player under Daniel Farke in 2023-24, making 42 appearances in all competitions after leaving Rangers.
However, the club are still in the process of shifting players out of the club to trim the squad and raise funds ahead of the new campaign, despite reports from earlier this week stating Leeds were not looking into selling Kamara.
The sale of Archie Gray already sent shockwaves through Elland Road, though the recoup of what is effectively £25m plus popular loanee Joe Rodon on a permanent deal has cushioned the blow.

Kamara at 28 fits an age profile for Rennes to replace Le Fee and recruit experienced players to improve on the 10th-place finish they achieved in Ligue 1 last season.
The Whites will need to follow suit and bring in at least one starting XI-ready central midfielder, as Farke looks to add to the strong spine of the squad with promotion an absolute must this year.
In other Leeds news, David Prutton has lauded the business to get Rodon back in the building.
