Leeds United in position ‘to seal £15m Solomon deal’ despite Southampton twist
Manor Solomon has played a major part in Leeds United’s push for Premier League promotion and could be at Elland Road to stay.
The Israel international has seven goals and seven assists in 28 Championship appearances for Leeds this season.
Solomon’s form has seen him linked with plenty of clubs, including the likes of Everton and Leicester City, which was considered a blow to Leeds’ hopes of landing him.

Southampton enter race for Leeds loanee Solomon
Leeds will no doubt do all they can to land Solomon from Tottenham on a permanent basis if they go back up to the Premier League.
According to GiveMeSport [7 March], the Whites remain the frontrunners to sign Solomon on the condition that they do indeed get promoted.

That is despite Southampton, who look destined to return to the Championship, also now being in the hunt to sign the attacker.
The report adds that a fee of £15million may be enough to sign Solomon, although the growing interest could easily change that.
Leeds do not have an option or an obligation to buy Solomon when his loan deal expires in three months’ time.

Leeds already looking to summer transfer window
In the week that it was announced Angus Kinnear is to leave Leeds at the end of the season – ironically to join Everton – United’s focus may have been elsewhere.
However, that is not to say transfer plans will not be in place at Elland Road with regards to the summer window.
It may well be that two lists are drawn up: One should Leeds fail to go up, and one if they – as expected – return to the Premier League.
If the latter comes true, it is important the Whites spend big in order to avoid going the way of so many promoted teams of late in coming straight back down to the Championship.
Solomon has showed what he is capable of and comes with the added bonus of not needing time to settle into new surroundings.
On that basis, signing the Tottenham player permanently could be the easiest transfer decision made in the summer.
