Leeds United in hot pursuit of Newcastle United duo Ryan Fraser and Karl Darlow as exit updates emerge
Leeds United are plotting a double swoop as they battle Premier League clubs to sign Ryan Fraser and Karl Darlow from Newcastle United, according to The Shields Gazette.
The newspaper reported on 20 July that the pair have emerged as “potential options” for the Whites, with both players available to leave the Magpies this summer.
It said wages could be a stumbling block in Fraser leaving Tyneside on a permanent basis, while Darlow is commanding a fee in the region of £5million.

Experience
There is no doubt that the duo would bring bags of experience, having racked up more than 500 career appearances between them.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has admitted Fraser, who has been omitted from the squad that has travelled to the US, doesn’t have a future at the club, with Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton all reportedly interested in signing the 29-year-old.
The situation is slightly different for Darlow, though, after he has been playing for the Magpies in their pre-season friendlies, but it still looks likely he will leave the club due to the number of first-team keepers at their disposal.

The £5million asking price for the 32-year-old has put off Hull City, where he impressed last season on loan, as it appears Leeds are now rivalling Premier League sides Bournemouth and Luton Town to sign him.
If the Whites can manage to pull off deals for the pair, that will add two experienced campaigners to the squad that are more than capable of doing a job at Championship level, but it looks like they could have a battle on their hands.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have made an enquiry for a “magic” PSG midfielder.
