Leeds United in centre of ‘explosive’ Ljubicic transfer saga with last-minute move lined up
Leeds United want to sign Dejan Ljubicic from Koln and are ready to make an improved offer, according to BILD.
The German outlet reported on 23 August that the Whites face competition from Braunschweig in a “stressful and explosive” transfer race for the 26-year-old.
Daniel Farke’s side has already offered £3.3million for the ex-Austria international and are considering increasing their offer before the transfer deadline day.
Leeds United are still interested in Dejan Ljubicic
Leeds have shown an interest in the versatile midfielder throughout the window and will be hopeful of landing him in the final week of the window.
There shouldn’t be a lack of transfer funds available at Elland Road having sold a whole host of first-team stars.
Ljubicic could prove to be the ideal replacement for Glen Kamara for the Whites after he departed for Stade Rennais earlier in the summer.
With his ability to get up and down the pitch, the Austrian will add plenty of dynamism to the midfield alongside Ethan Ampadu or Ilia Gruev.

To find a player who should come in to become a regular starter for less than £4m and in the peak of their career at 26.
After already bringing in Largie Ramazani this week, Farke could be set for a busy few days at Elland Road as he looks to build a squad ready to challenge for promotion.
