Leeds United in advanced talks to sign Norwich City defender Max Aarons
Leeds United are in advanced talks with Norwich City to sign defender Max Aarons, according to The Norwich Evening News.
The newspaper reported on its website on 9 August that the Whites are in pole position to land the 23-year-old in a deal worth up to £12million.
But it said discussions remain ongoing with a number of potential suitors that are interested in signing the right-back, who recently won the European Championship with England U-21s.

Excellent signing
There is no doubt that Aarons would be an excellent signing if Leeds can manage to get a deal over the line for him this summer, with his former boss Daniel Farke surely being an influence in potentially persuading him to head to Elland Road.
The report states that the defender was heavily linked with fellow Championship side Southampton before the weekend’s fixtures, but that the Whites have now moved ahead of them in the race to sign him.
There has been an awful lot of speculation around the England U-21 international for a number of years, but Norwich’s price tag has scared many clubs off in the past.

But they are now reportedly open to allowing him to leave Carrow Road for £12million as he heads into the final year of his contract with the Canaries.
There would be many that would have thought his next move would be up to the Premier League, so it would be a real coup and a statement to other Championship rivals if the Whites can pull off a deal to sign him.
In other Leeds United news, a defender could be heading out on loan to the Bundesliga.
