Leeds United have not received any contact from Club Brugge over Pascal Struijk transfer
Leeds United have not received any contact at all from Club Brugge about a transfer for Pascal Struijk, according to Graham Smyth.
Writing on the official website (28 July), the Yorkshire Evening Post journalist wrote that the Whites have not received any indication of interest from the Belgian club about the defender.
Reports on Friday suggested that Struijk was a target for Brugge and that talks were “ongoing” over a transfer, but that has now been denied from the English side of the deal.

“Leeds United are yet to receive any expression of interest for Pascal Struijk, despite reports in Belgium that Club Brugge want the defender,” they wrote.
Weird
This is clearly a bit of a strange situation because one side of the deal is adamant that there’s a possibility, and the other side didn’t even know there was a deal happening.
Struijk recently came out and stated that he had no intention of leaving Leeds this summer and that it was never an option, so that would seemingly back up the Whites’ stance.
Ultimately it doesn’t really matter what the truth is from the past, just what is going to happen between now and the end of the window.

It seems unlikely that Struijk would leave at this point, and with the new season set to begin next week Daniel Farke will be hoping that he isn’t going to be caught off guard by anything else popping up like it did with Max Wober.
It would be a backwards step for his career anyway because Leeds are so much bigger than Club Brugge, and he will be a regular to help us get back up to the Premier League. It seems like a non-starter from his point of view.
