Leeds United handed Joe Rodon transfer boost as Tottenham open to 15 exits this summer
Leeds United have been handed a major transfer boost in their pursuit of Joe Rodon after it emerged Tottenham are open to losing 15 players this summer, according to Paul O Keefe.
Writing on his personal X account (20 May), the agent has revealed that Spurs are open to a huge exodus during the transfer window as Ange Postecoglou looks to reshape his squad.
And Leeds will be delighted as Rodon is a player they are open to losing, with the Whites keen to make his loan move at Elland Road permanent ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
“Spurs are prepared to let the likes of Forster, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Rodon, Spence, Reguilon, Sessegnon, Davies, Emerson, Ndombele, Gill. Solomon all go,” he wrote.
“If the offers are right and circumstances fit the club’s requirements then Richarlison, Bissouma, Skipp could also leave.”
Leeds United want to sign Joe Rodon permanently
Daniel Farke navigated the summer transfer window brilliantly last year, with a number of loan deals being completed to strengthen the squad.
But there is no doubt that the best of the bunch was Rodon from Spurs, and he has become an integral part of the squad at Elland Road.
However, while both parties are interested in getting a permanent deal done this summer there is no doubt that the club’s standing and division will make a big difference in what happens.
With the club taking on Southampton in the playoff final at Wembley, a win for the Whites would set up their transfer plans and allow them to move forward.
Defeat will make it far more difficult, with Rodon clearly too good to play in the Championship again, so it’s a situation that is there to be watched over the coming weeks.
