Leeds United given fresh turning point on Fabio Carvalho transfer in crushing new update
Leeds United may be forced to look elsewhere in their pursuit of Brentford playmaker Fabio Carvalho following a tragic new update.
Daniel Farke is under pressure to get results at Leeds, and new transfers already seem like a priority in the upcoming January window.
Leeds have been linked with Carvalho, with the Whites showing an intention of adding Premier League quality in the final third.
The attacking midfielder has now been given bad news that Farke will surely be shaking his head at.
Leeds target Fabio Carvalho suffers ACL injury
Jürgen Klopp has been full of praise for Carvalho in the past, as Leeds‘ attacking data at the moment does not make for good reading.
The Portuguese star might have proved a quality addition for the Whites and could have been a shrewd piece of business following his game-time struggles for the Bees.

- He’s only started one Premier League game this season
- Carvalho still has four goal contributions despite only playing nine times in all competitions
Now, Brentford have shared on X that Carvalho will miss the rest of the season following an ACL injury, which requires the star to undergo surgery.
Leeds will have to fully turn their attention away from the Brentford man after the fresh update, but they do have contingency plans in place.
Leeds may go all out for Harry Wilson now
Leeds have been tipped for another move to sign Harry Wilson from Fulham.
However, the Welshman has played the majority of his football at right wing during his lengthy stay at Craven Cottage.
But given Dan James’ importance for the Whites, Wilson could be forced back into a familiar role in central attacking midfield should the 49ers get a deal over the line.
After failing to sign him in the summer, the interest will still be there.

That being said, Carvalho could have also been a wide option, just like Wilson.
Leeds fans will just have to see how this one plays out, but it could be a saving grace as Wilson is proven to be a danger at this level.
