Leeds United get £15m boost in pursuit to sign Liverpool ace Kelleher
Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher this summer.
Illan Meslier was the number one for the majority of the season, but Daniel Farke decided to axe him due to poor performances.
Karl Darlow was installed as the first-choice and it was a decision that paid off as Leeds won the Championship.

Kelleher available to sign at £15m discount
According to TEAMtalk on 15 May, a new stopper is the need of the hour for the Whites in this window.
It’s understood that reports claiming it will take £40million to sign Kelleher in the coming months are not correct.

In fact, Leeds can sign the 26-year-old for as low as £25million – a £15million discount to the previous price that was quoted.
It was a similar fee that Liverpool paid to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili and they’re happy to sell their second-choice keeper for that much.

Leeds United must rope in Kelleher this summer
Leeds‘ goalkeeper struggles, epitomised by Meslier’s error-prone performances, demand a reliable solution and Kelleher is the ideal candidate to resolve their woes this summer.
The 26-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper has proven his Premier League quality, keeping four clean sheets in 10 appearances this season and saving consecutive penalties against Southampton and Real Madrid, showcasing his composure under pressure.
With Meslier’s mistakes costing crucial points, notably in draws against Hull and Sunderland, Leeds need a dependable number one to solidify their defence upon Premier League return.
The Irishman’s experience, including a starring role in Liverpool’s 2022 EFL Cup triumph and his desire for regular first-team football, align perfectly with Leeds’ ambitions.
His contract, entering its final year in 2026, could see Liverpool accept a fee around £25million, a worthwhile investment for Leeds’ £150million budget.
Facing competition potentially from other top-flight sides, the Whites must act swiftly to secure Kelleher, whose shot-stopping, ball-playing ability and Premier League pedigree would provide stability and elevate their survival prospects.
Failing to sign him risks prolonging their goalkeeping instability, undermining their top-flight aspirations.
