Leeds United finalise Joe Gelhardt exit terms after transfer updates
Hull City are set to finalise the loan signing of Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United within the next 24 hours, according to Leeds Live.
The news outlet has reported (13 January) that Gelhardt will travel to London on Monday (13 January) to have his medical after the terms of his loan deal were finalised over the weekend.
The loan deal is set to run until the end of the season after the Tigers saw off other interest in the 22-year-old due to the player’s desire to stay in Yorkshire.

While there were suggestions that this deal would only be sanctioned depending on the extent of Patrick Bamford’s injury status, the Whites are making the right decision in letting the 22-year-old go and get game time.
Although the forward looked initially promising, he has seen his game time limited, having made just two Championship appearances this term, equalling nine minutes of football.
Therefore, at this stage in his career, a chance for regular minutes is probably exactly what he needs.

With Hull sitting at the wrong end of the Championship table, this is an opportunity for the forward to go and have an impact on a struggling side which, if he succeeds, could help him in his quest for minutes with Leeds upon his return at the end of the campaign.
Daniel Farke does need to bring in attacking reinforcements at Elland Road, but with his side seeking automatic promotion to the Premier League this term, a possible space has been made available to make that signing.
