Leeds United: Final member of Marcelo Bielsa's title winners remains - It may not be who you think
Marcelo Bielsa has once again been in negative media this week at the World Cup.
It feels like an age since he was the most-loved man in West Yorkshire, bringing the good times back to Elland Road.
Upon being sacked, Leeds fans lined the streets around his home and Thorp Arch, to send him one last message of love.
There's even a street named after him in Leeds city centre, yet those in Uruguay have seen the complete opposite.
After failing to progress through the World Cup group stages over Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, Bielsa returned a villain.
Quitting his role as Uruguay manager, it wasn't before he had one last famous meltdown at the American media.
And with change happening at Leeds again, the Bielsa era is almost being left behind completely.
Marcelo Bielsa squad left behind at Leeds United
Nobody will forget that title-winning squad at Elland Road, lifting the Championship one year after play-off disappointment.
From Kalvin Phillips dominating in midfield, to Pablo Hernandez and Patrick Bamford in the final third.
But, that is a distant memory.
With Illan Meslier moving on as his contract expires and Leeds accepting a bid from Brighton for Pascal Struijk, those days are long gone.
The Whites will bank around £18million from Struijk's sale, which is basically pure profit financially, and it will allow them to attack the market harder themselves.
But, it's still a sore memory of the good times under Bielsa.
Who is last remaining player from Bielsa winners at Leeds?
Weirdly, it's Jack Harrison.
Nobody would have thought back then that the winger would be the last man standing, but he has proven impossible to sell.
Despite two loan spells with Everton and a temporary move to Fiorentina, nobody is taking the plunge permanently.
Harrison still has a contract until 2028, too, so he's set for another year at Elland Road, as things stand.
Daniel Farke did try to reintegrate him last season, playing occasionally in the Premier League, but he was never accepted.
Leeds will be trying to finally clear their deadwood this summer as they prepare for a second Premier League season.
Harrison is certainly top of that list, and despite Struijk's sale splitting the fanbase, it's better to bring in the money when they can.
With Bielsa's title-winning squad possibly set to come to a complete end, it's best to remember the great times with fondness, rather than regrets.
It's been a long six years since that moment, but the memory is currently living on with Harrison at Elland Road.
