Leeds United fans told to ‘worry’ amid Archie Gray to Borussia Dortmund latest
Graeme Bailey has claimed that Leeds United fans should “worry” about the interest of Archie Gray from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Leeds United News [29 June], Bailey detailed that a move to the Bundesliga is a “very appealing” prospect to the midfielder.
This comes after it was reported on Friday [28 June] that a move for Gray could exceed the £50million-plus barrier [HITC].
“The interest is very strong from Dortmund and Bayern. The career path that you can go down that route is going to be very appealing to the player, more so than the English clubs looking,” Bailey said.
“If he is available, they all want him and they have all known about him for a lot of years. Real and Barca know about him as well but Dortmund and Munich are the real two, if you are a Leeds fan, to worry about particularly. They both like him a lot.”
Why do clubs want to sign Leeds United star Archie Gray this summer?
Gray is a stellar talent and was among Leeds’ best players last season.
That is despite the 18-year-old being deployed as a right-back for the vast majority of the season despite that not being his natural position.
However, in 2024/25 that is set to change. Earlier in the week it was revealed that next term Gray would prefer to play in defensive midfield, his natural role [Graeme Bailey, 20 June].
With this in mind, due to the performances the youngster put in this season, if he is given a campaign in his natural role, his value could skyrocket and be worth even more than what he is now.

This would result in the West Yorkshire outfit getting even more money than they initially thought and could spur them on their way into either the Premier League – should they fail to gain promotion again – or towards survival in the top tier.
Although a move to Germany may seem appealing now, the midfielder should stay with his boyhood club for at least another season and further develop his skillset before taking the step up.
