Leeds United face ultimate payback from Manor Solomon as Premier League return on

Leeds United must be regretting the opportunity to sign Manor Solomon permanently as their goalscoring struggles continue under Daniel Farke.

Solomon was a fan favourite at Leeds, and the Tottenham winger moved on loan to Villarreal on deadline day.

The 26-year-old is currently injured, and he’s only made six appearances in all competitions this season.

The Israel international registered 22 goal contributions in Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign, and there was a huge opportunity to sign him from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Solomon was there for the taking, and Leeds may be made to pay as reports have emerged that suggest relegation rivals West Ham are interested.

Manor Solomon linked with West Ham move

Solomon was linked with a return to Leeds, but the 49ers chose to move in for Noah Okafor instead.

Whilst Okafor has been a success since arriving at Elland Road, Solomon’s output in the Championship was remarkable.

Spanish media outlet Mediterraneo has reported that West Ham could move for Solomon in January, with the Israeli winger said to be unhappy in Spain.

He scored the stoppage-time winner against Plymouth to seal the Championship title for the Peacocks, and it begs the question as to why Leeds didn’t pull the trigger on bringing Solomon back to Elland Road.

The Peacocks have failed to score in four of their six away matches this season, and Farke was clearly frustrated with the failure to bring in more firepower up front.

Solomon could provide a real goal threat to West Ham’s attack, and it would definitely give them an advantage over Leeds in the fight for Premier League survival.

Leeds beat West Ham 2-1 on 24 October, but the Hammers have won back-to-back games in the Premier League, and they now sit just one point behind Farke’s side.

Manor Solomon’s potential move to West Ham would be bad news for Leeds

Solomon possesses something that Leeds currently lack, and that is the ability to create a moment of magic out of nothing.

Statistically, Leeds have been perfectly fine when it comes to creating chances, but they’re lacking that killer instinct in the final third.

In the Championship last season, Solomon outperformed his expected goals by 1.86 and scored from 10 out of his 60 shots.

West Ham are suffering the same issue in front of goal, and Solomon could be a huge asset to their hopes of avoiding relegation.

For Leeds, it is a worrying blow, and not only are there demands to reinforce the attack in the January transfer window, but there’s a real incentive to not let the former winger join a rival team.

Should Solomon join West Ham for the second half of the season and fire them to safety at Leeds’ expense, it would be the ultimate payback.
