Leeds United eye Evan Ferguson loan in January amid Celtic development
Leeds United are one of several clubs interested in a loan deal to sign Brighton forward Evan Ferguson, according to The Scotsman.
Leeds will undoubtedly be in the market for a new striker with concerns over their attacking depth continuing and Ferguson is reportedly on the Whites’ radar.
Sunderland have also been credited with an interest in the report (18 December) alongside Scottish giants Celtic.
TEAMtalk (16 December) has reported that there is likely to be Premier League interest too, though, with Leicester City and West Ham United said to be in the hunt with Brighton ready to sanction a loan exit.
Dor Turgeman has also been linked with an Elland Road switch (Sport5) ahead of what is anticipated to be a busy transfer window for the Whites.
Evan Ferguson would be an outstanding signing for Leeds United
The signing of a clinical striker could prove to be the difference for Leeds in their push for a Premier League return and Ferguson would fit that bill and more.
His physical attributes matched with his goalscoring ability would be the perfect fit for the Whites with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph both failing to live up the required standards for a starting centre forward.
It is certainly one of two key areas that must be addressed at Elland Road with the goalkeeping department another area that needs to be addressed with Illan Meslier potentially on his way out in January.

If Leeds can address those two deficiencies in their squad, their chances of promotion will be boosted significantly.
All eyes will be on the January transfer window in the coming weeks with it potentially set to provide the telling factor as to who will achieve promotion to the Premier League this season.
