Leeds United extensively look at another new transfer after Joe Rodon

Leeds United are "extensively" looking in the transfer market for a winger this summer, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported on 3 July that should any moves occur for any of Leeds' wingers this summer, the West Yorkshire outfit will be prepared.

This comes after a £30million bid was rejected for Georginio Rutter by Brighton just last night [talkSPORT, 2 July].

What does this mean for the future of Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville at Leeds United?

Since the transfer window opened at the start of June, both Gnonto and Summerville have been consistently linked with Elland Road exits [1908, 2 July].

These rumours were mainly sparked due to Leeds' failure to gain promotion back to the top flight after losing 1-0 to Southampton in the play-off final.

Many expected Leeds to be promoted so when their fate was sealed, many were left shocked.

The sale of one of their attackers was previously more on the cards than it seems to be now.

Because, after a whirlwind couple of days in the transfer market for the West Yorkshire club, the sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham has finally been confirmed.

The sale of the youngster hasn't sat right with most Leeds fans and even the club themselves but unfortunately, due to the EFL's PSR regulations, a big sale was a necessity.

The future of Gnonto and Summerville at Leeds still remains in the balance and only time will tell whether one or both of the two depart.
