Leeds United are interested in acquiring the services of Aberdeen's Head of Recruitment Jordan Miles as a "Major" player in their transfers, according to Daily Record.

The Scottish news outlet reported on Thursday [7 December] that the Whites are targeting a move for the recruitment specialist before the January transfer window opens.

While Leeds are expected to agree a deal quickly, Aberdeen would require a compensation fee due to Miles' limited time at the club, and a notice period would be served.

Miles joined the Dons from West Ham United during the summer, which would see the Scottish side lose their second head of recruitment in six months - a tough blow for Aberdeen.

January transfer window on the horizon

This news will come with a lot of excitement for Leeds fans. The club's enthusiasm to get the deal for Miles done quickly would suggest that Elland Road will be a busy place during the winter transfer window.

While the Whites are experiencing an extremely successful season under Daniel Farke, there is no doubt that some of their players are catching the eye of surrounding clubs, and even some European clubs.

Crysencio Summerville's electric start to the season has warranted deserved transfer rumours, while some of the players are only at the club on a season-long loan, such as Jaidon Anthony from Bournemouth and Joe Rodon from Tottenham Hotspur.

If Leeds are to gain promotion back to the Premier League this season, the squad will need to have integrated new players in that can help keep the club afloat once more.

However, before that, Farke and his men need to keep up their current pace, staying just a couple of steps behind Ipswich Town and league leaders Leicester City.

A few incomings during the next transfer window could be vital in staying in the play-off spots, or even earning automatic promotion from the Championship. Here is where Miles will be key.
