Leeds United exit prediction for ‘special’ Crysencio Summerville made by Dutch journalist

Suleyman Ozturk has predicted a January exit from Leeds United for Crysencio Summerville after his form so far this season.

Speaking in a video on the Voetbal International website on Tuesday (31 October), the Dutch journalist said the 22-year-old is “one of, if not the best player” in the Championship.

He added that he expects clubs to “come in for him in January” because the Dutch winger has “very special” qualities, comparing him to the likes of Kaoru Mitoma at Brighton.

“He is one of, if not the best player in the Championship,” said Ozturk. “Clubs will come for him in January. Because they are looking for players who can make a difference. And he can. He is important with through passes, pulls two to three opponents with him and can play someone out.

“He has a Lang quality: give a [expletive] to the whole world and give me the ball. That is very special to see. He can also simply turn free-kicks into the intersection. He reminds me a bit of Kaoru Mitoma. He really is a complete left winger.”

It’s no real surprise to see Summerville playing so well for Leeds this season after he looked pretty capable when he played in the Premier League last year.

The winger has been superb at the start of this campaign after registering six goals and four assists to help the Whites up to third in the Championship table.

There is likely to be interest once again in him during the January transfer window, but the club should do everything they can to keep hold of him unless a tempting offer comes in.

Although he is believed to have turned down the opportunity of leaving Elland Road over the summer, that situation could quickly change if he emerges in the Dutch national team picture with the European Championship coming up at the end of the season.

But for now, the fans can continue to enjoy seeing him performing so well for the club and hope that he plans to stick around and help them earn promotion back up to the top flight.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been linked with an English club chief as he’s due to quit in the next two weeks.
