Leeds United: Crysencio Summerville update emerges amid transfer speculation at Elland Road
Leeds United are yet to receive any “concrete” approaches for Crysencio Summerville, but there is plenty of transfer interest, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Dutchman has been in exceptional form for Daniel Farke’s side so far this term, scoring 17 goals and laying in eight assits to help the Whites as they look to make an immediate return to the Premier League this season.
While the 22-year-old’s excellent form hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Brighton supposedly keeping tabs, sports broadcaster Jacobs admits Summerville is entirely focused on winning promotion at Elland Road.
As quoted by Give Me Sport (14 April) he said: “Leeds’ priority and Summerville’s priority is to get them into the Premier League. If that happens, then Summerville, from what I hear, is very committed to Leeds.
“He is enjoying playing under Daniel Farke and he’s very much ignoring the noise. There’s been no concrete approach to Leeds yet. There’s been no talk of valuation. Even though we hear, understandably, a lot about interest, clubs are not stupid.
“They know when is the right and the wrong time to make an approach.”
Will Crysencio Summerville leave Leeds United in the summer transfer window?
Leeds United were always going to have to battle to keep their best players come the end of the season, as Premier League clubs will have taken note of the form likes of Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto.
If the Whites win promotion back to the top flight, Farke may well be able to convince the biggest stars to remain at Elland Road as they will be guaranteed regular first-team football at the highest possible level.

Only a matter of weeks ago it seemed a certainty that Leeds would be playing in the Premier League next season, but a wobble after the March international break has seen them fall behind both Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
Hopefully, Summerville will be part of a Whites side in the Premier League next year but if Leeds do miss out on the top two, you have to wonder whether the Dutchman will be willing to stick it out in the Championship once again.
