Leeds United: Crysencio Summerville expected to quit Elland Road amid Premier League verdict
Coventry City full-back Milan van Ewijk has insisted he expects Crysencio Summerville to leave Leeds United this summer as he gushed over the winger’s ability.
Van Ewijk admitted Summerville is the best winger he has ever had to face, stating that people are finally starting to see how good he is, going as far as to say he’s the best player in the Championship.
However, his praise took him towards stating that the Leeds star is going to take a step up away from Elland Road to find a new challenge, with a Premier League move mooted.
Speaking in an interview with Dutch outlet FC Update, Van Ewijk shared: “That man is really exceptionally good, that is not normal. He is the best wing attacker in the Championship.
“People are finally starting to see how good he is. He is in my top three of the best left wingers I have come across and he is number one.
“He shows that he is a Premier League player. He is going to take a step, there is no other way. He must be able to handle that. But to face him is a nice challenge.”
Could Crysencio Summerville leave Leeds United this summer?
It is no secret that Summerville’s performances have attracted interest from Premier League clubs this season, and it remains a possibility that he could leave in the summer as has been put forward by the Coventry defender.
It has previously been stated that Leeds are nervous about the possibility of their star player leaving the club this summer regardless of whether they achieve promotion despite the winger having previously opted to remain at Elland Road.
Summerville had the opportunity to leave the club last summer but chose to stay and prove his quality with Leeds – something Van Ewijk highlighted has brought further attention to his talent including transfer interest from elsewhere.

The possibility of a new contract has also been mooted amid interest from Liverpool and Newcastle with the club planning to hand him an improved deal on higher wages, although there is no indication about whether he would sign.
