Leeds United could sell Jack Harrison to Leicester City if they sign a new offensive player – Fabrizio Romano
Leeds could sell Jack Harrison to Leicester City before Tuesday’s transfer deadline if they sign a replacement first, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Foxes had a £20m bid rejected for Harrison last week as Leeds looked to keep their squad together for the second half of the season, with the Whites looking to tie him down to a new contract.
But Leicester are continuing to push for a deal and Leeds are now open to a sale if they can get a replacement in before the deadline at 11pm tonight.
“Understand Leicester are now still pushing to sign Jack Harrison as negotiations continue. Leeds United, set to make a decision later today,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (31 January).
“Deal will also depend on Leeds chances to sign new offensive player in the final hours of the window.”
Quick
If Leeds want to make another signing, they’ll have to be very quick about it because there isn’t much time.
There have been reports that the Whites have moved for Nicolo Zaniolo of Roma during the talks that will see Diego Llorente move to Italy on loan, and that is the type of move that would need to come off if they’re to let Harrison go.

Leicester are obviously willing to pay a premium to bring him in now, and with 18 months remaining on his contract it’s not something that Leeds can simply just ignore.
Zaniolo is supremely talented and if the club can make a profit by doing the deal, then it would make sense for them to look into getting it sealed.
Snap decisions have been made in the past with the likes of Daniel James and Willy Gnonto in the summer, and it seems like that could be the case here again.
