Leeds United have a clear contract priority with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Whites signed the striker as a free agent in the summer of 2025, and he has since regained his reputation within the England setup.

Having started the new season in fine form, the former Everton centre-forward's future should be on the agenda in LS11.

Calvert-Lewin's contract at Elland Road expires in June 2028.

Daniel Farke has reignited the 29-year-old's career in West Yorkshire, but risks losing him next summer if they do not want to lose him for free.

The Peacocks will surely be wary of his contract situation given his importance to the side, making this one that needs to be dealt with soon.

Ao Tanaka position looks clarified at Leeds United

Ao Tanaka was linked with an exit from Leeds in the summer, but he stayed at the club.

The Japan international was in and out of the team last season and it wouldn't have been surprising to see him leave.

Tanaka has now started the last three Premier League games for the Whites, providing two assists.

It looks like Farke is finally relying on the 28-year-old midfielder as a starter after his impressive displays towards the end of the previous campaign.

Speaking a few months after Tanaka's arrival, the German manager said, "He is an unbelievable signing so far. Quality with and without the ball is outstanding."

The Japanese ace is another player whose contract will enter its final year next season unless the Peacocks extend it.

What Leeds United chiefs have now said about new Daniel Farke contract

Daniel Farke contract may be biggest priority of all

Farke's own contract has been a hot topic at Leeds as it expires next summer.

It looks like the Whites are working to tie the German manager down to a new deal, as managing director Robbie Evans recently revealed.

Lukas Nmecha and Ilia Gruev are two players in a similar boat contract-wise.

There has been no talk of conversations with the striker or midfielder about new deals.

The West Yorkshire outfit may feel they have enough quality in the midfield right now and they can afford to lose the Bulgaria international.

However, Nmecha has been a valuable signing for the Peacocks, providing adequate cover in Calvert-Lewin's absence, and given that the club don't have many options up front, they must convince the 27-year-old German striker to stay longer.
