Leeds United cave on Summerville demands as exit talks sanctioned

Leeds United have agreed to let Crysencio Summerville talk with West Ham United about a potential move, according to HITC.

The website reported on Wednesday (31 July) that after initial talks, the Whites and West Ham have made progress, and Summerville’s camp now has permission to negotiate terms.

Leeds had originally asked for around £30million, but the deal might now go through for much less, with the Yorkshire outlet caving in.

Tottenham and Liverpool have also shown interest in Summerville but with no serious talks currently ongoing, HITC added.

Leeds United to be beaten in battle to keep Summerville

Leeds are fighting a losing battle to keep Crysencio Summerville. Despite their best efforts to hold on to him, the pull of a Premier League move seems too strong.

West Ham are clearly keen, and they’ve already made significant progress in talks. The Whites initially set a high asking price, but it looks like the deal might go through for less, making it a bargain for the Hammers.

Summerville had a standout season, scoring 21 goals and adding 10 assists. And unsurprisingly his performances have caught the eye of several top clubs, and West Ham seem ready to act fast.

With the transfer deadline approaching, the Whites may find themselves unable to fend off the Premier League club.

While losing a player of Summerville’s calibre will be a blow, Leeds must focus on how they can rebuild and strengthen their squad for the new Championship season.
