Leeds United can seal Vinicius Tobias signing for £17.5m as contract terms emerge

Leeds United could continue their summer activity with the signing of Vinicius Tobias from Shakhtar Donetsk.

To this point, the Whites have added seven fresh faces to their side with just over a week remaining until the Premier League season kicks off.

With that being said, Daniel Farke is bound to want further additions before the window slams shut on Monday, 1 September.

This could see a swoop for Tobias be activated in the coming days as the Elland Road outfit prepare themselves for opening night against Everton.

Tobias could now join Leeds United

It is fair to say that attacking reinforcements are needed in LS11 in the hope of being good enough for the upcoming campaign.

Although that may be the case, until the likes of Patrick Bamford opt to leave, the chances of new signings may prove to be unlikely.

As a result, adding depth elsewhere in the squad may prove to be a wise move until changes are given the green light in attacking areas.

This could see a move for Tobias at Shakhtar be pushed to the fore in Yorkshire as a potential new right-back option for Farke’s side.

Fussball Europa have reported (7 August) that the Ukrainian outfit are demanding upwards of £17.5million with a sell-on clause to complete a deal.

The Whites are yet to make an offer but have entered talks with the Brazilian and are aware of a potential transfer before the window ends.

Tobias could replace Jayden Bogle at Leeds

It is fair to say that Bogle was one of the better players in LS11 last campaign after signing from Sheffield United in the summer.

Despite this, the addition of the former Real Madrid man could prove to be wise to add stern competition to the squad, ready for the new season.

Tobias has attacking qualities which could make him an ideal alternative to the current options, something which could spell bad news for Sam Byram.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Leeds persist in their potential approach for the Brazilian, who could change the picture this season.
